I am Here!

I am here!! I am just postin up in the hood of Alexandria, MN!! (I will call it Alex because it is easier). So got off the plane in Minneapolis, went to mission home, met the President, set up my bike, blah blah blah. Finally President said he would let the people out who are going the farthest away. So I was one of them. I am assigned with Elder Clark in Alex. He has been out 7 1/2 months, and I love him. He is so awesome!! And we are whitewashing the area! We replaced the other 2 chumps (probably not because they were bad. All Elders are awesome). Our area is HUGE. Probably 80-100 miles from corner to corner. At least. Even though we have a car, Clark is the District Leader so we have to drive all over the place. So when we totaled it up, we have about 400 of our 1500 miles a month to visit investigators and members. So tracting it is. We have actually had quite a bit of success tracting! We are working hard and being obedient! That's all you can ask for!

So how about conference! We watched it at the church building, all alone, but it was still awesome! We had some struggles with the satellite during Sunday evening, but other than that, we loved it. I thought Priesthood session was just phenomenal. Every single talk was outstanding, and I actually stayed awake the whole time. Little miracles eh?

Yesterday was the first day I saw the sun after leaving Bloomington. It is rainy and windy every day. But yesterday and today have been awesome weather! Low 60's, mid 50's, perfect. But I will admit I am more nervous than a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs for winter. Seriously these people rejoice when it is like negative 10, or zero. MADNESS! And I heard that the Dakotas got like 4 feet of snow in a day! Thankfully we missed it! My area is on the western-most part of the mission and borders the South Dakota mission. So we probably almost got the storm!

We only taught one lesson actually inside someone's house this week, but it has still been an awesome week! We are hoping to meet with a couple Part Members tonight, and then a couple appointments on Thursday! Clark has a leadership training in Bloomington tomorrow so idk what I will be doing. Probably going to St. Cloud for the day.

Anyways the church is true, and I love it!
